Lawn Disease Control
Keep lawn diseases at bay before they even start.
Lawn diseases only occur when three primary causes align - grass susceptibility, a present pathogen, and the right weather. You can't control the weather or what type of pathogens are present, but you can control your yard's environment through proper fungicide prevention and control to keep lawn diseases at bay. The goal is to increase your lawn's health and strength so you can get back to relaxing outside—lawn fungus-free.
There are many common lawn diseases found in our southern Michigan turf, including:
Leafspot / Melting Out
Necrotic Ring Spot (Fusarium Blight)
Fungicide prevention and control is one of the most underused yet beneficial lawn care tools in your lawn care "toolbox." KAS Lawn Solutions can identify and treat these diseases for you while you continue to enjoy your lawn. What to Expect
It is important to understand that curative fungicides will not reverse the damage that has already been done by lawn disease. Instead, it will stop the lawn fungus in its tracks. This might take around a week to work, and you should not see the lawn continuing to get worse after that point.
You should also not expect your lawn to bounce back. Many homeowners mistakenly assume that their lawn will start to look better after a curative fungicide application, and this is not the case.
Once our application of fungicide has stopped the disease, then repairing your lawn can begin with one of our KAS Lawn Care Programs. One round of aeration and overseeding is often enough to fill in some of the thinned-out areas that were damaged by disease.
